What is an Elementor template kit?
Elementor template kits are collections of templates that help you build an entire website from the same set of templates which you can import and reuse throughout your website. These templates are usually built around a specific niche, but are flexible enough so that you can adapt them to your own needs, style and requirements. [2]
Reasons to use Elementor Template Kit
1. Better website performance
Most WordPress themes, especially premium ones, come bundled with numerous plugins that you may never need, but they nevertheless sit there, occupying your server’s precious disk space and resources, thus slowing down your website. Multipurpose WordPress themes also attempt to meet everyone’s needs, pursuing the one-size-fits-all model, which often falls flat. Not only these themes generally don’t convert well in terms of ROI, but they are also generally bloated with code, plugins, theme options settings and other, often redundant features, offering only pre-designed layouts, usually bundled with a page builder that you’re forced to use and which you might end up disliking.
2. Tremendously easy to use
Did it ever happen to you that upon theme installation and demo content import, you just got lost and overwhelmed by the jumble of stuff, all mixed together in a disorganized or confused way? If that is the case, you are not alone. This is a pitfall that is easy to fall into, risking you will probably never finish what you started, especially if you are building the website by yourself. Premium themes most likely come with a user manual and tutorials, but going through all that can be a time-consuming, tedious task.
Elementor on the other hand, is intuitive and easy to navigate. Elementor is extremely easy to use, even if you don’t have any experience with building websites. Not only you can easily create your page and content layouts from scratch, but there is also a large range of ready-to-use templates and page designs available, neatly packaged as free and pro Elementor template kits.
3. Unbreakable content
Switching from one theme to another can easily make you lose content. We’ve all been there. Switching themes is not like changing shoes, things will not fit, settings will be different, content layouts not working, custom CSS will be missing and images may not display the same way, because each theme determines its own way of how content is laid out on the website and how the site will function. Not one theme is the same as the next, even if you purchase it from the same theme developer.
Elementor templates on the other hand, are completely independent. As long as you have Elementor installed, you can import and export templates, and even copy and paste elements anywhere on your site.
4. Proven compatibility
Elementor template kits can be used with almost any WordPress theme, free or pro. This is great news, especially if you are just getting started and/or are on a budget. Most kits are optimized for the free Hello Elementor WordPress theme, but you can also choose among thousands other free and premium WordPress themes – your templates from the kit will still remain looking beautiful regardless of the theme you would choose.
The best part is, you can keep using your favorite theme you are familiar with or you can easily transform any free theme into a premium-looking one in a matter of minutes by importing templates from the kit, or just the kit’s global styles.
Using an Elementor template kit is the perfect starting point to build a website – simply apply it to your website, add content, and make it your own, easy, fast, and hassle-free. Each Elementor template can be imported individually without affecting your existing content, which makes this a great way to enhance your current website without breaking your website or risking losing your existing content.
5. Save time and money
Premium Elementor template kits tend to be cheaper than premium WordPress themes, yet some people are concerned that buying a template kit over the WordPress theme would get them less in terms of quality and performance.
The contrary is true.
Both WordPress templates and Template Kits contain pre-determined design elements that can be used on a page-by-page basis or even on a component-based basis.
However, Template Kits are, by default, a collection of templates that are a “full package deal” which include every page and design component that a web creator will need to build a website. In addition, template kits are easier to edit, whilst WordPress templates tend to be more hard-coded and rigid.
Do I need Elementor Pro?
Not always. Some Elementor Template Kits only include elements that are available in the free version of the Elementor plugin. Blog and shop pages for example, usually require the Pro version.
There are however, free alternatives to the Elementor Pro plugin available. For custom Elementor headers and footers you can use this free plugin. For other elements you can use this free Elementor add-on. Note that in this case you would need to recreate the elements by yourself. On the flip side you will get some nifty additional Elementor widgets for your website.
But keep in mind that using a lot of plugins is known to slow down your website, which is the main reason we choose to use the Elementor Pro. If you wish to do so as-well, you can get yours here.
The bottom line
You can choose from our selection of kits, the Elementor Kits Library, or you can create a personalized kit of your own to use whenever you create a new website. Template kits simply are the fastest option for building a beautiful, responsive, and fast website with just a few clicks, creating an amazing website you’ll love, even if you are a complete beginner, and get great results.
